AUSTRIA

The MoonBikes is recognized as a "snowmobile". It is therefore subject to the snowmobile law. As a reference for Austria, the snowmobile law for the province of Salzburg can be used: - Registrations for tradesmen, agriculture & forestry, catering & tourism businesses, hunters, sports clubs, track services, timekeeping, aid organizations, doctors, rescue services and authorities are not a problem in and of themselves - For journeys exclusively on private property no registration is necessary - Registrations for private persons who want to use the vehicle only as a means of transport and / or for recreational purposes will NOT be granted a permit and the registration will be rejected. - In general, the vehicle must be equipped with a rotating beacon, an audible warning device that works continuously, a rear light and a headlight. - If vehicles are used in enclosed parks or on private property, the rotating beacon and audible warning device may not be required in continuous operation. However, as soon as the vehicle is driven in areas accessible to the public (a private property may also be accessible to the public), the above equipment is mandatory.

SWEDEN

Your MoonBike is registered as a snowmobile in Sweden. You must be 16 years old and have a driver's license to drive a snowmobile, if you did not obtain a driver's license or tractor license before January 1, 2000. It is not permitted to drive snowmobiles on public roads except when crossing the road, or driving the shortest possible distance if the terrain is impassable. Then the maximum speed is 20 km/h. When crossing a road, all passengers, both on snowmobiles and in sleds, must cross the road on foot. It is not permitted to drive snowmobiles on forest land with saplings or young forest or on agricultural land unless it is evident that driving can occur without risk of damage to the ground. Keep in mind that: You must be 16 years old and have a driver's license to drive a snowmobile, if you did not obtain a driver's license or tractor license before January 1, 2000. Use an approved helmet based on the existing regulations. Children under the age of seven can use other appropriate assistance.
The maximum permitted speed for snowmobiles is 70 km/h. In some places, there are local lower speed limits.
Find out the conditions of the terrain you will be riding in. And remember - always drive sober. Fenced area The fenced area must be suitably fenced and completely separated from public traffic. There is no definition of a fenced area, but court cases show that what is decisive is that the public or unauthorized traffic should not enter the area. The public should therefore not be able to accidentally drive into the area, and those driving within the area should also not be able to accidentally drive out of it. The cordon must be effective and the fenced area must be clearly demarcated for other road users. It can be important for the requirements for the enclosure if you are in the middle of a built-up area or far out in the countryside without other buildings and busy roads nearby. If you are unsure whether a place can be recognized as a fenced area, you can contact the County Administrative Board in the locality for advice. Keep in mind that: A track like this, permanent or temporary, may need examination according to the Environmental Code. Contact the municipality or county, administrative board. Permission from the landowner is needed If it is about driving on bare ground, an off-road driving dispensation is needed. Contact the county administrative board.
