Boulder, CO – (December 22, 2022) – MoonBikes, the world’s first electric snowbike, is thrilled to announce their participation in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January for the second year in a row. The company will announce an exciting new venture in the tech and mobility niche and will also preview its first interactive virtual reality experience to allow those in attendance to experience the joy, fun, and solitude of riding a MoonBike.
The French startup that launched in the U.S. in 2021 has democratized snow mobility and is the only one of its kind on the market. MoonBikes are now available in the United States and Canada and over 20 countries worldwide.
MoonBikes brings an unparalleled response to the challenges of winter transportation, creating a veritable revolution in the snow mobility market. The bikes are emit zero-emissions, are perfectly silent for an enjoyable nature immersion, easy to charge, transport and store, and most of all - fun to ride.
The MoonBikes snowbike is one-third the size of the average snowmobile and gives its users the freedom of an e-bike, with the power of a motorcycle.
Nicolas Muron, MoonBikes’ Founder and CEO, will lead the company’s participation in (CES) from January 5th – 8th as well as the Unveiled Media Preview on January 3rd. Muron will be available for interviews in person or virtually upon request.
MoonBikes was created in late 2018 by Nicolas Muron, a former aeronautical engineer at Dassault. Inspired by his love for the mountains and a deep interest in technology and sustainability, the young entrepreneur believed there was a genuine need for something different in mobility. He created the world’s first electric snowbike, the first of its kind to provide a new way to get around in winter. MoonBikes raised $650,000 in pre-seed in 2020 with business angels and partnered with Michelin and Bosch to build the two first batches of MoonBikes in France to ensure quality and safety. In October 2021, MoonBikes closed a $5M seed round. MoonBikes is headquartered in France (Annecy) and opened its U.S. subsidiary in Boulder, Colorado, in September 2021. MoonBikes are available in 20 countries around the world and 10 cities in the U.S. They can be purchased via the company’s website, www.moonbikes.com.
